Prince of Persia

The long-awaited roguelike Prince of Persia: The Rogue Prince entered early access on May 27th, available to purchase for PC through Steam. It was originally due to launch on May 14, but developer Cheritz sensibly pushed the release back in order not to compete with another game that came out a bit of nowhere by surprise -Hades.

The game has now made its mark, fans are dying to figure out what is coming next, and Evil Empire has taken the veil off an electrifying prospective roadmap for 2024.

A Promising Start: The Early Access Launch

Since it launched in Early Access, Prince of Persia: The Rogue Prince is performing extraordinarily well with fast-paced roguelike action. From Evil Empire, the team behind Dead Cells, The game will put your platforming and intense combat skills to the test as you master acrobatic moves.

Players can craft different builds with weapons, trinkets, and upgrades as they traverse through new areas in their mission to save Persia from a Hun invasion.

These changes laid the foundation for a flurry of future updates that work to both widen but also deepen the experience of players.

September: Weaponry

Now that we are into September, it’s time to turn our attention over to the weapons. The game will once again receive a host of new weapons, players can hone even more on further customizing their combat strategies.

So, these new weapons should bring a nice change of pace and dynamics to how you play—be it favor close-range or far-away strikes.

Even More Goodies in October: the Rescue Feature, Bestiary and Beyond

The update in October will also include additional features such as the long-awaited Rescue Feature. We assume this addition will enable players to help other characters or NPCs, with more strategies in the game. In addition, a Bestiary is being added which will provide players with in-depth knowledge of the many foes they face. An overhaul of the Medallion system will also offer fresh paths to progression and power.

November: New Biomes, Bosses and Story Expansion

Arguably, the most significant update yet will hit in November adding new biomes, bosses, and enemies. With it comes new challenges and environments for players to tackle.

The new gameplay elements will be accompanied by an art overhaul, that brings them to life in the world of The Rogue Prince. On top of that, a new story act is set to be released in the coming months for free adding further narrative content giving players fresh objectives and challenges.
