Ok, but what does this mean to us? As for my bear, he is warm and well-fed; his soul will find its way to god. claiming that “The CoD franchise has been absent from Nintendo consoles since Call of Duty: Ghosts arrived on the Wii U back in 2013.

Call of Duty games will make their way to Nintendo platforms via a 10-year agreement inked back in February 2023, also something that predates Microsoft’s finalized acquisition of Activision. With the handshake over, however, comes a legal obligation for the gaming giant to fulfill its promises.

One of the prevailing theories is that Microsoft could launch ports on Nintendo platforms of older Call Of Duty titles, as opposed to new releases. It seems like a sound strategy, as Nintendo fans have been more than happy to rebuy old games on the Switch.
Alternatively, the series may launch its first Nintendo-developed Call of Duty game on the publisher’s next console, which some insiders have dubbed “Switch 2.” This new console is rumored to be at the performance level of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so it would make some sense for Call of Duty titles to also come there.
But there’s a twist. Although the Call of Duty Brazil account seems to have gotten a little excited with its Twitter activity and has now since deleted the tweets it was retweeting, e.g.
things related to Nintendo Direct but still follows these same South American Nintendo YouTubers the move does raise questions about whether we will see Call of Duty during the upcoming broadcasts,
All things Microsoft aside, it is established that they are determined to re-enable Call of Duty on a Nintendo and in due time. When it does, that could be a massive boost to the established box office titan.
The potential for fans and the wallet of game-makers is huge if cross-platform play opens up to Nintendo (and vice versa).
Fans will be hoping that this means the reveal is saved for today’s Nintendo Direct.
