ToggleUPDATE: Fans of Star Wars: Outlaws are in for a shock, as Ubisoft has announced its long overdue fix to the single most aggravating part of the game – its stealth missions! Speaking candidly with GamesRadar, Creative Director Julian Gerighty addressed the widespread criticism and promised big changes to make those early stealth missions more engaging.
Stealth Missions for a More Balanced Approach
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 – Crash Specialist, Gummy Drifts scheduled to bring back some crashes This upcoming update that is due out in September 2024 will also cover the rebalanced stealth missions which have not fared very well for players.
While the fail state will not be eliminated (so you have to hit a minimum threshold of skill at least once), the goal is to make Ghos missions less punishing and more fun.
One such example, according to Gerighty was an early mission in Mirogana which he said is “incredibly punishing. He took full blame, stating “To me that’s an error and then something we’re going to have to fix.
” The intention is to help make the missions feel more fair without losing any challenge. “Whatever that is maybe doesn’t have to be completely removing the fail state from games, but just a million easy wins where you can make everything so much more fun and accessible to people.
Update Rolling Out Soon
The patch should be rolling out to those on PS5 in about 10 days. Gerighty stressed that the idea is to eliminate a feeling of unfairness that has been common among players. “Like, we just want everything to be fair,” he added. “This wasn’t our intention. It is more of something that crept in the last week or so, and we are already on top of it for a patch.
