Splatoon 3’s two-year ink-splattering jamboree has at last emotional climax of the Grand Festival. After all, the event that transpired over the weekend of October 25-27 was a classic binary touchstone for fans who remember the era that spawned TTLG; this battle prolonged three days and ended in a stunning victory. This wasn’t any normal Splatfest. And what a final one it was for Splatoon 3.
And to conclude one of the most epic Splatfests of all time, our Splatfest review has arrived, courtesy of Nintendo in a new live show that took over all channels. It transported players to a colorful concert hall where beloved acts such as the Squid Sisters, Off the Hook, and even newcomer band Deep Cut took center stage. However, the biggest buzz was saved for the Splatfest, which pitted players against each other in a battle of ‘Past vs. Present vs. Future’.
Shocking Twist: The Winner Revealed!
After four days of tough battles one wonders; Who won? Yes Team Past, under the iconic Squid Sisters reign, sets foot the victory ascension layer! That result rocked fans, because it was not merely a win for the Squid Sisters – it was a rout. So comprehensive was their win that they prevented Team Future from even registering a point. That’s right, zero points!
It’s a Splatfest result for the history books, and we honestly can’t remember when one team last got so comprehensively swept. Them beating newer acts like Off the Hook and Deep Cut just adds to the shock too! And in the end, Deep Cut is a loved fan favorite having been the face of Splatoon 3 for nearly two years. But, in the end, nostalgia took over and players sided with the Squid Sisters, who have been present in every game in this series.

Why Did the Squid Sisters Win?
Normally, resentment is born of fresh pain. why the near-universal Team Pastendorsement} The most likely factor involves the long-term legacy of the Squid Sisters in general. They have been a staple of every Splatoon game and were heavily featured in all three story campaigns. They are easily the soul of the series for most fans since this, and players were clearly on their side for many years going into the final fight.
Conversely, Team Future getting a big fat goose egg was something I did not expect to see, seeing as how widely know “Deep Cut” is. Their vibrant personalities and energetic performances won them plenty of Mariners fans over the course of their run in Splatoon 3, but when all was said and done, they just couldn’t unseat the Squid Sisters’ legacy.
What’s Next for Splatoon?
Though Team Past has claimed victory, this Splatfest also signals the end of an era for Splatoon 3. Following the Grand Festival, Nintendo has officially confirmed that there will be no more updates after that. As bittersweet as that news is, it comes as no surprise. Because frankly, all good things must end and this felt like the most fitting way to cap off Splatoon 3’s tale.
However, what is even more exciting is with the Squid Sisters back in the limelight once more fans are theorising what there future could hold. Since we know Splatoon 4 will be coming, (which may or may not release on a new Nintendo console) it is only a mater of time before the Squid Sisters pop back up.
