Chernobylite 2: Exclusion ZoneA Survival Horror Gift from the Heart
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone was officially announced by The Farm 51 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 13th of the year we will eventually get to call something like “2024.” This follow up to the Chernobylite, a 2019 survival horror RPG will push take us headlong into another entry in this series with some new gameplay mechanics and greater emphasis on that mysterious substance known as…. well… you know.
Chernobylite 2, planned for release in 2025, builds on the strengths of the original game and will include groundbreaking experiences inviting returning players as well as fresh audiences alike.
Planewalking: Completely New Gameplay Dimension
The most notable feature of Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, and thus the slogan mentioned in our headline, is teleporting from one building to another – a planewalking. With this new power, players will be able to freely transition between parallel dimensions offering new levels of dynamism and creative possibilities never experienced in previous Killzone games.
Planewalking adds both depth to gameplay, but also a new tactical layer as players must contend with the hazards of two realities at once while trying to live in an increasingly irradiated world.

A Vast and Detailed Open World
While its predecessor was segmented into a collection of smaller, connected maps, Chernobylite 2 will be set in “a big and realistic open world”. This new environment, created by Unreal Engine 5 will feature high-quality detail and atmospheric with innumerable dynamic ambient elements creating the very radioactive exotic landscape of Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
This larger world should allow more room to explore and become involved, as players must travel between enormous spaces that contain dynamic events along the way with environmental hazards & dangerous wildlife.
Improved Combat and Character Building
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone will offer a new character development system, thanks to which we will create attributes and skills that affect both combat efficiency and the approach of other characters. Featuring more and better guns as well new melee gameplay, players now have even more options to try during their missions.
These factions fight over what little remains in the Exclusion Zone tying into combat aspects within the game. The choices to be made by the player on how they wish to engage or ally with these factions will have far-reaching outcomes that influence both parts of the game’s narrative as well as events beyond.
Relationships, followers, and customization
Spelunky 2 adds a lot to the social dynamics I touched on with Spelunky Classic. The amount of side characters and companions is larger, all with individual strengths, abilities or just background backoptions.
Investing in these characters is important because their trust can provide you with new opportunities or be crucial to your future. These partners can also have dedicated roles in a customizable base, adding their own gear upgrades and resources to the overall strategy.
Single player campaign and co-op missions
While the main campaign of Chernobylite 2 is still a single-player affair, the developers have added co-op missions for you to play with friends through an online connection. Each character has those extra lives, so cooperative gameplay is supported and the narrative-heavy soul of Persona 5 prevails.
Co-op missions also included broadening the replayability angle on Chernobylite 2 and how they Costy-pro would be more socially inclusion, making it a versatile version of Co-Op.
Conclusion: An Exciting Sequel Awaits
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone already seems to have a lot going for it and is new ambitious sequel that looks like its expanding upon the base of what was set up by the last game. Featuring the all-new planewalking mechanic for unprecedented freedom of movement,
an established open world with enhanced character progression and new co-op missions created by Cryptic Studios themselves will make it possible to experience a richly immersive game in one pocket reality! In the lead-up to its 2025 launch, we’re predicting that Chernobylite will be a survival-
horror standout for all who enjoy being in an ominous and dangerous setting such as it is found within the decadent horror landscape of the radioactive wasteland sat firmly inside the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.
