ToggleThe announcement of Dragon’s Dogma 2 at Capcom is grabbing headlines again. Six months after the game was released, its developer is finally implementing a patch soon to fix some of the long-standing issues that have dogged it since day one.
An exact release date for the patch has not been solidified, but Capcom states that it will deliver “great improvements” to overall performance and stability within Street Fighter 5. This is everything you should know about the new upcoming update.
On the Horizon: What To Expect
Capcom has revealed that an imminent update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 will address key issues which have been causing problems since launch. Of course, the overarching goal is to address CPU load, a major issue which has dampened performance for sub-set of gamers even on high-end PCs. The goal of this tweak is to address performance hitches that have been annoyances for many players.

Other than increased CPU performance, the patch will improve crashes also since it has been a bug for many of their players. Both of these changes should add to the overall stability for matchmaking making it better experience.
More Details Coming Soon
Capcom has not yet gone into specifics about exactly what will be added in this forthcoming patch, though it is suggesting that more details on the update are likely to land soon. More news will follow then, likely around the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2049 at the end of September.
The data mined event could be a pretty big deal and maybe we will even get ideas of what could end up being future DLC, but it adds more excitement for players waiting on new features.

Examining The Launch of Dragon’s Dogma 2
One of 2024’s most anticipated games, Dragon’s Dogma 2 came out March 22 for PC (75), PlayStation 5 (86) and Xbox Series X/S. While praised upon its release, the game also drew criticism for supporting 21 microtransactions on day one.
That being said, these are not required items and can be earned within the game; it is optional for a player to purchase them if they so wish, but many saw fit that their inclusion of up to 60-dollar in-game content in an already-70-dollar single-player experience was unjustified.
That being said, Dragon’s Dogma 2 enjoyed an epic debut despite of reservations about it. At launch, the game drew over 200k concurrent players on Steam alone making it one of this year’s big releases. To date, it has shipped over 3 million copies to retailers globally and is one of Capcom’s most successful day-one launches in its history.
A Sequel Worth the Wait
Built directly on top of the 2012 hit Dragon’s Dogma, this latest entry is long in success. Despite its launch problems, the game was generally well received for gameplay and how huge it is. This upcoming patch hopes to solve alot of the concerns preventing a reputation that could have much more enjoyable acclaim for players.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: What’s In Store?
With Capcom looks to rectify these glaring problems, the result is Dragon’s Dogma 2 being a far richer game for newcomers and veterans alike. Better CPU load and fewer crashes are a start, with more on the horizon. But with Tokyo Game Show itself right around the corner, hopefully we’ll learn more soon about what they pack.
That aside, players can enjoy a smoother and more stable Dragon’s Dogma 2 experience at that time which makes it an even better adventure. Keep track for more updates and prepare yourself to re-enter the Dragon´s Dogma universe with improved performance and less anger.
We are in the vibrant stage of new releases as Capcom grows a buzz for whatever they have up its sleeve. The adventure through Dragon’s Dogma 2 has just begun!
