New Rally Season 2024, Five New Cars
A rally expansion wouldn’t be complete without high-performance, pack-worthy vehicles. The WRC 2024 Season Expansion features five new cars in total, spanning all three official classes : WRCWRC2Junior-WRC The lineup offers the newest in hybrid Rally1 technology from Ford, Hyundai and Toyota, all producing high-performance suspension set-ups and aerodynamics to provide you with a little bit of help when out on track.

52 New Liveries and Crews
In addition to the new cars and stages, players can expect a fleet of more than 50 liveries along crew members. These will be 2024 season liveries for new and existing vehicles, bringing to bear the top drivers and their co-drivers in that era of Championship Mode. The crews will also show up as A.I. opponents in different game modes, including Career, Moments and Quick Play.
What Comes Next: Upcoming Content Packs that Add to the Fun
But the 2024 Season Expansion will not be the end of it from EA SPORTS™. According to the press release, we’ll be getting two “themed content packs in the months ahead.”
Kicking off with the two new routes debuting as part of the Le Maestros Content Pack (Winter 2024/25) at Rallye Monte Carlo and Vodafone Rally de Portugal, which pays homage to past masters like Walter Röhrl. Rife with tight bridges, challenging track design and gorgeous vistas, this pack presents you within a few alternative track routes to challenge your sense of precision driving.

The Hard Chargers Content Pack, arriving in Spring 2025, will introduce additional high-speed tarmac routes to both Rally Sweden and EKO Acropolis Rally Greece. Will there be a WRC game in 2024?
WRC – And Yes, There Will be a 2024 Game. The WRC 2024 Season Expansion has been announced as part of the latest addition to the rally gaming franchise by EA SPORTS™. The expansion turbocharges the base game with refreshed content such as new locations, cars, and stages.
Going live later this year, WRC10 will include the full 2024 FIA World Rally Championship season and all WRC events and new challenges. Of course, EA is dedicated to delivering fans the most realistic rally experience possible and although 2024 might seem like a long way off, it promises to be a landmark year for players everywhere.
Will EA WRC be on EA Play?
Like a bunch of EA titles, the chances of EA SPORTS™ WRC coming to EA Play are high. EA Play gives subscribers a number of benefits including early access trials and limited-time playtime for select games.
There is still no word if the WRC 2024 Season Expansion will be part of an EA Play subscription, but we hope fans at least get early trials or discounts on the new content. EA Play is the place where rally fans can familiarize themselves with games at a discounted price.

Did EA buy WRC?
And no, EA didn’t actually purchase the World Rally Championship (WRC). HOWEVER, EA SPORTS has gotten the official licensing to make WRC games.
RacketOnline has partnered with EA to help EA create the official WRC gaming series, beginning with EA SPORTS WRC and expanding to DLCs including SHIMMER, RACKETONLINE, AND THE 2024 SEASON EXPANSION As part of the acquisition, EA will be able to officially feature real-world WRC teams, cars, and locations in its rally games, establishing it as a big player in the world of rally gaming.

Is WRC coming to USA?
Nothing has been confirmed yet but the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) is likely the only one making plans to visit the USA. Despite having a wide-following all around the world, unfortunately, WRC locations and events are still predominantly held in Europe and some other areas.
We Americans are pretty slow to evolve when it comes to motorsport compared with elsewhere in the world, but rallying is experiencing an upsurge in popularity across America thanks, at least in part, to series like the American Rally Association (ARA).

Why is Mitsubishi not in WRC?
After the 2005 season, Mitsubishi withdrew from WRC competition because of high costs and change in marketing goals. The move was part of a larger strategy by Mitsubishi to concentrate more on profitability, and other vehicle segments, such as passenger cars.
Mitsubishi, with its rich WRC history including several championships with the Lancer Evolution, left a large void in competition. Although Mitsubishi has withdrawn from WRC, the company still enjoys a rallying heritage that remains significant and is popular in other motorsport and rallying disciplines. Fans still dream of the possibility emerging in some distant future.
