We all can agree that rumors and leaks are like pressing a button on a video game controller. There are new rumors that emerge daily, and the fanbase continues to spiral out of control in excitement.
A Reddit post has surfaced today that claims the next major launch from Nintendo – which is largely expected to be for a new version of Switch 2 -may now have entered into mass production.
Despite Nintendo keeping quiet on the subject of their next console, fans have been preparing themselves in hopes that any little hint regarding a potential Switch 2 would materialize.

To this point, the subject has yet to cross Nintendo’s lips in their recent directs, but a fresh move suggests that anyone thinking about an updated version of the Switch will have it sooner than we think.
First up, MST Financial senior analyst David Gibson has mentioned the following piece of news on X (formerly Twitter) just recently.
The article states that Hoisden, which assembles for Nintendo is about to make some major investments in the next few months, with ¥2 billion on production equipment and another ¥1 billion down towards automation according to Gibson.

This is just the kind of spending that many are speculating could be in preparation for significant next console production, so they have enough units when starts.
Nintendo has been careful in the past about not repeating what happened with its original Switch launch, which saw stock constantly sold out due to demand and a reasonably high amount of scalping.
It suggests that Nintendo may be working to guarantee a very significant stock of the new console at – or shortly after – launch time, potentially diminishing supply-related issues and reduced re-seller costs.
However, all of this is speculation for the time being. The company has not made any official announcements about their next console, fare thee well.
While rumors are circulating that we could hear an announcement as early as this month, between the timing of their Direct presentations and what they announce during them being always somewhat open to change up until said presentation begins, we’ll simply have to keep our eyes peeled on Nintendo’s social media channels for any official word.
This means that the Nintendo Switch 2 might well be in mass production now but the one fact we do know, is that anticipation and hype levels for whatever it’s working on next are higher than ever. The audience can’t wait to show me the future of Nintendo gaming.
