The rumor-milling began after someone attending PAX West in Seattle noticed a banner at the Seattle Convention Center. The banner, which included the Guilty Gear Strive logo front and center all but shouted a simple message:

“Nintendo Switch Edition — Pre-Order Now! Guilty Gear Strive was released in 2021 for PlayStation, with PS4 and PS5 versions arriving first along later Steam, before becoming available at arcades for a period interval then finally launched onto Xbox One/ Series X|S early.

Originally it’s the seventh mainline entry as well as a total number of 25 games of these franchise histories(and finishing off the ‘G.Xrd’ saga that started since the latest installment came around on year… The story itself initially met routes back Guilty port that published December>).

Fun fact – Arc System Works has been around since 1988 when it was known as ‘Arc Co. That was some time ago, and the developer now has several of its games available on the Switch – such as the 1998 original Guilty Gear so it feels like a sea change in terms of strategy. Naturally, any release of Guilty Gear Strive on Switch would come across as an odd choice, particularly with a new entry inevitable at this point but potentially advantageous due to the game’s mass appeal nature and millions-strong install base.

While the news remains unofficial, it would appear that all eyes are on Arc System Works and if they will be shedding more light at PAX West later this month with potential platforms beyond PS4. But the bottom line is that fans may finally have a solid reason to get hyped up for some good old-fashioned one-on-one bouts in Guilty Gear Strive on their Switch.
