ToggleMicrosoft has today confirmed the five games leaving Xbox Game Pass on October 15, so subscribers will want to make sure they take action before then. This keeps the service feeling fresh with new fun things to watch, but it unfortunately also means that certain fan-favorite titles are removed and cycled out. If you want any of the below games, you now have just under two weeks to play them or buy them through specials pricing before they vanish.
The Xbox Game Pass is popular for its never-ending library of games with availability across PCs, consoles and the cloud. Games rotate in regularly, and two sets of removals happen every month: on the 15th and again at the end of each calendar month. Five of those include titles you can snag as part of our first wave of departures for October.

This is a fine line to ink when it comes to Xbox Game Pass, as the service inherently makes you dejected each time a game that has been on your radar for the longest of times finally gets removed from it. Still, there is a short window available for you to jump into these before they are taken from the library. Not to mention, if you discover that one of the games turns out being a hit, then you can grab it at a discounted rate available only for subscribers.

What Games Do You Need to Always Make Sure Get Played?
Two of those must-plays before they are gone: Everspace 2 and Scorn:
Everspace 2
Everspace 2 Easily my most anticipated game this year with best in class ship combat and solid looter-shooter gameplay. Obliteracers: A wild and fast paced single-player space shooter with deep exploration, a lot of loot, upgradeable modules, and modern RPG elements for an captivating gaming experience.
Sitting at an incredibly high average rating of 83 on OpenCritic, Waking Titans is a game that should be experienced by anyone who enjoys beautiful space-faring visuals and tight gameplay. Better get on this one before it leaves Xbox Game Pass!
Scorn
Then there’s Scorn, a sci-fi horror game that wasn’t universally praised but is still worth investigating -particularly as we get ever closer to Halloween. The visuals are incredibly gross with themes from several grotesque horrors, featuring monsters inspired in the works of classic artists such as H.R. Giger, and set in a nightmarish world full of disturbing abberations that remind you a little bit of the Monoliths from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
It was a divisive title; there were people who adored the atmosphere and tension it generaged, and others who felt the game had wasted their time. But if you enjoy something creepy for Halloween, then Scorn is a must buy.
What Happens Next?
It is always unfortunate to see games go, but there are plenty of new games around the corner for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Microsoft has yet to share what games will be rotating out of the service at the end of October, but new content is always in anticipation with series of older games constantly being cycled through.
In the meantime, if you do want to buy any of those games leaving on October 15th, remember that they will be available at a reduced price until completed removal. Now is a great time to play these titles, especially if you enjoy sci-fi, strategy or horror.

Final Thoughts
Game rotations are a normal part of Xbox Game Pass but it’s always tough losing any given game, and especially when they’re as different as Everspace 2 and Scorn. The time is now if you have not already started on your business. So jump into these adventures while you can with your Xbox Game Pass subscription before October 15!
