Introduction
All right, guys, welcome back to another update. We’ve got a lot to talk about today, from a major game delay to PlayStation VR 2’s exciting new feature. But before we dive into the news if you enjoy daily gaming updates.
The Year So Far and What’s Ahead
Xbox Showcase and Game Releases
As we move into the second half of the year, we’ve already seen some major events like the Xbox Showcase and separate Games Fest. With Game Pass and upcoming releases, Xbox has a packed lineup. You’ll need to pick and choose which games to play, given the volume of day-one releases on Xbox Game Pass. Titles like Indiana Jones, Avowed, Flight Simulator, and Call of Duty Black Ops 6 are all dropping on day one.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Delay
One highly anticipated game that has been delayed is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Originally set to release in September, it has now been pushed to November 20th due to technical issues. GSC Game World announced the delay to ensure a bug-free experience. This is a wise move to avoid negative reviews due to technical glitches.
Developer’s Statement
On July 25th, Stalker 2 Studio announced the delay, explaining the need for additional time to fix unexpected anomalies (bugs). They also teased a deep dive into the heart of Chornobyl in collaboration with Xbox, scheduled for August 12th.
Competing Releases
The delay places S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in a crowded release window, competing with major titles like Avowed and potentially Indiana Jones. Despite the competition, the game’s high-quality graphics and gameplay have generated significant excitement.
Halo Infinite Update
New Features Coming
Halo Infinite continues to receive significant updates. On July 30th, a new operation will bring features like Jeff Steitzer’s iconic multiplayer voice to Forge mode, campaign music for maps, and a UI nav marker overhaul. Senior Community Manager John Utick detailed the update, including 1,000+ VO lines, 100+ music tracks, and numerous new features for Forge.
Future of Halo Infinite
The continuous updates raise questions about the game’s future. Will 343 Industries continue supporting Halo Infinite, or will they shift focus to a new mainline Halo game? Rumors about a battle royale mode and potential spin-offs suggest a dynamic future for the franchise.

Xbox 360 Store Closure
Last Chance to Purchase
The Xbox 360 store is closing on July 29th. This is your last chance to buy digital games and other content, including demos, gamer picks, and themes before disappearing. The closure raises concerns about digital-era game preservation.
Call of Duty Updates
Game Pass Perks
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is now available on Xbox Game Pass. Subscribers get a 10% discount on Call of Duty points, which can be used for microtransactions like cosmetics and DLC. With Season 5’s release, the game has a lot of excitement.
Sea of Thieves Season 13
New Content
Sea of Thieves Season 13 is live, bringing back Captain Flameheart and introducing the Burning Blade flagship. The update also includes a hunt for lost knowledge in ancient temples and 100 new levels to climb with corresponding rewards. The update is free for all players and is available on all platforms.
Fallout London
New Experience
Fallout London, a mod for Fallout 4, offers a brand new experience with 200 quests, 20 factions, 7 companions, 15 boroughs, an extended dialogue system, and a new soundtrack. It’s available now for PC players with Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition on Steam. This mod provides a fresh Fallout experience while waiting for the official new game.

PlayStation VR 2 Update
Steam Compatibility
PlayStation VR 2 is getting a significant update, allowing it to be used with Steam. Starting August 6th, an app will let players use their PSVR 2 headset and controllers with SteamVR games. While the adapter costs $60, it extends the headset’s functionality to a wider range of VR games on PC.
Concord and Marvel Rivals
New Releases
Concord, a new first-person hero shooter, is launching with a US-exclusive PS5 DualSense controller. Despite low beta participation, PlayStation is pushing ahead with this title. In contrast, Marvel Rivals had a successful closed beta with over 50,000 players, making it a strong competitor in the hero shooter genre.
Armored Core Success
Sales Milestone
Software’s Armored Core has sold three million copies worldwide since its release in August 2023. This is a significant achievement for the franchise and highlights the game’s success.
