New PS5 Beta Update Details

Personalized 3D Audio Profiles

Starting tomorrow, the new PlayStation 5 beta introduces personalized 3D audio profiles for headphones and earbuds. This update comes from Hiromi Wakai, VP of Product Management at Sony Interactive Entertainment, via the PlayStation blog. Over the years, thanks to community feedback, many new features and refinements have enhanced the PS5 gaming experience.

Creating a Personalized 3D Audio Profile

To create a personalized 3D audio profile for your headphones or earbuds:

  1. Go to Settings on your PS5 console.
  2. Navigate to Sound.
  3. Select 3D Audio Headphones and follow the on-screen steps.

Your audio profile will be saved per user, and you can still choose from 3D audio presets. This builds on the 3D audio enhancements introduced since the PS5 launch.

Remote Play Settings

Another new feature allows users to adjust remote play settings per user, choosing who can connect to their PS5 console. This feature is available for all PS5 models and can be adjusted by going to:

  1. Settings.
  2. System.
  3. Remote Play.
  4. Enable Remote Play, then choose the user.

This feature is small but valuable, offering flexibility and control over remote play access.

Adaptive Charging for Controllers

For beta participants using the latest slimmer PS5 model, adaptive charging is now available. This feature adjusts the length of power supply time to your controller based on its battery level when the console is in rest mode. To enable adaptive charging:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. System.
  3. Power Saving features available in rest mode.
  4. Select Supply Power to USB Ports and choose Adaptive.

Global Beta Release

Beta access is limited to invited participants in select countries, but the update will be released globally in the coming months. If selected for the beta, you’ll receive an email invitation tomorrow. Note that some features may not make it to the final version or may see significant changes.

Exciting Remaster Release Date: Shadows of the Damned

Shadows of the Damned Remaster

The highly anticipated remaster of Shadows of the Damned finally has a release date: October 31st. This action-adventure game, developed by Grasshopper, takes players on a quirky, demon-slaying road trip through hell.

Preserving PS3 Classics

Shadows of the Damned was one of those PS3-era games that didn’t get widespread acclaim but had a dedicated fanbase. Bringing these games back through remasters helps preserve them for new and old players alike. Other PS3-era games like Enslaved: Odyssey to the West and Red Faction Guerrilla have also been remastered, ensuring they aren’t lost to time.

Conclusion
