Overwatch 2 Season 12 Launches Next Week, with Game Pass Perks Dropping in September
Overwatch 2 fans rejoice as Blizzard has announced the details for Season 12, coming August 20th,2024. But the even bigger news? Overwatch 2 is Party Chatting with Xbox Game Pass for the first time in February and bringing some friends along on an exclusive outing.
Game Pass Integration: What You Get Starting September 17
Beginning Sept. 17, Overwatch 2 players syncing their Battle. Attaching a RuneScape account through net accounts to an active Game Pass subscription unlocks rewards galore in the game. While players get EVEN MORE (or at least enhanced) benefits out of Game Pass, Overwatch 2 comes along with some cool things as well that fans will appreciate.

Additionally, the new hero and battle pass for season 12
We are pretty excited for Season 12 of Overwatch 2. In addition to a new Martian support hero, Juno, the season features an Egypt-inspired Premium Battle Pass. Upon the heroes revisiting the Temple of Anubis, there are several new skins to unlock such as:

- Thoth Illari
- Dorothy Ashe
- Captain Sigma

In addition, the game is adding a new game mode named Clash that will have players fight over multiple capture points with dynamic spawns. Players will also see the return of Temple of Anubis and Hanaoka, throwing them right back into Shimada Castle.
Game Pass Is The Frequent Flier Miles In War On Live-Service Games
There is a lot of new content to be hyped for in Season 12 but the biggest news, by far, is that Overwatch 2 will join Game Pass. Microsoft clearly has something with Game Pass, stacking its stable of live-service titles side by side in the same room for those who have access to a decent internet connection (though PS and Nintendo owners might look on jealously.)
