First Berserker

Early 2025 sees the launch of the action RPG The First Berserker: Khazan, one game that has a bit of hype leading up to its release. During the Opening Night Live event at Gamescom 2024, a new cinematic and gameplay trailer debuted to give fans an action-packed look at what they can expect.

First Berserker

A Pakistani genre debutant that was first announced in December 2023, The First Berserker: Khazan is a co-production of Korean studio Neople (Dungeon Fighter Online) and Pakistan’s string-puppet animation house Unicorn Black. With a reveal of action-packed gameplay during the Xbox Partner Preview in March likely setting active imaginations on fire, Need For Speed Payback shows no signs of slowing down; and neither does its legion of fans!

The trailer, which debuted at Gamescom revealed some gorgeous graphics and brutal combat leading fans to the excitement online when they realized Khazan’s voice actor was portrayed by Ben Starr who also worked on Final Fantasy XVI.

The game is based in the same universe as Dungeon Fighter Online (Haha, wait a minute) Developed by **RPG PLAYIN STUDIO** and brought to us here at Paragon. The First Berserker offers single-player content that feeds off of anime-driven art styles filled with combat — lots of it! Therefore, it revolves around Khazan;

a hero who fell from grace within the Pell Los Empire. Khazan saves the empire with Archmage Ozma by slaying the Berserk Dragon Hismar only to be betrayed, declared a traitor, and exiled. Players will directly control the vengeful Khazan as he discovers that his high ideals meant little to a world torn apart by war, with gameplay featuring different aggressive and evolving combat styles for both skills or tactics depending on player style.

Fingers crossed that the final product lives up to its promise, though we won’t know for a while; The First Berserker: Khazan is due out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam in early 2023. There will also be a Technical Closed Beta Test from October 11 to October 20, which allows players to try the game before its official release.

Offering a narrative with depth as well as visuals which are truly eye catching and frenetic combat, set against the backdrop of an imagination breaking world, The First Berserker: Khazan is certainly shaping up to be one of 2025’s must-play titles.
